Delete your SurveyLink account and data

This page explains how to delete your account and data for SurveyLink, the field app by Resource Ledger for mapping farm plots, logging harvests, recording deliveries, and sharing traceability evidence with buyers. You do not need to be signed in, or have the app installed, to request deletion.

What SurveyLink collects

• Phone number, used for sign-in via one-time code
• Name, farmer code, and cooperative or organization
• Precise GPS location, used to map farm plot boundaries and geotag deliveries and photos
• Photos, such as deed, plot, and delivery evidence
• Voice input, converted to text on your device for the assistant and not stored
• Diagnostics and crash data, with personal identifiers scrubbed

Delete from the app

If you still have SurveyLink installed:

1. Open SurveyLink
2. Go to Profile → Account → Delete account
3. Confirm when asked

This erases your account immediately and wipes the SurveyLink data stored on your device.

Request deletion without the app

If you have uninstalled the app or cannot sign in, email privacy@resourceledger.com and ask us to delete your account. Tell us the phone number registered to the account, or the name and farmer code on the account, so we can find and verify it. We action these requests within 30 days.

What we delete

When your account is deleted, we delete:

• Your profile and contact details (name, phone number)
• Your photos
• Harvest logs
• In-app messages and assistant history
• Crop-health checks and advisory history
• Notifications and device/push tokens
• Consent records and feedback
• Your links to cooperatives and buyers

What we keep, and why

Some records must be kept to support legal and regulatory due diligence, such as the EU Deforestation Regulation. These are delivery verifications, compliance evidence snapshots, and the plot-boundary records tied to that evidence. We keep them for the legally required retention period — but we de-identify them first: your name and phone number are removed, and the records are re-keyed to an anonymous identifier, so they can no longer be traced back to you.

How long it takes

Deleting from within the app takes effect immediately. Email requests are actioned within 30 days of our verifying the request.
